Glen Eldon Betty's Obituary
Glen Eldon Betty, age 89, of Garland, Texas passed away on January 6, 2021 in Plano, Texas.
Glen was born on September 8, 1931 in Weston, Texas to Raymond and Thelma Betty. He proudly served in the US Army from 1953-1955 and enjoyed a successful career with the Dallas Teachers Credit Union.
As a devoted husband and loving father, Glen dedicated himself to his family and his faith. Whether it was with the grandchildren at home or with the kids in the church nursery, Glen loved to spend time with children. He served, with his wife, Norma, for 30 + years working with children and students at Arapaho Baptist Church in Garland, TX. Being a lover of music, Glen was also a part-time music minister early in life and participated in the church choir and ensembles for decades.
Glen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Marie Betty.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Hatfield if Garland, TX; son, Mike Betty of Garland, TX; son, Glen Edward Betty of Sachse, TX and son, Robert Betty of Sachse, TX; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
