Glen Halyard's Obituary
Glen Halyard passed away on April 15, 2015. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lola Mae Halyard and son, Larry Glen Halyard. Glen is survived by his daughter, Donna Sue Young (Robert); three grandchildren, Cindy Huff (Eric), Tracy Valdez (Sergio) and Jenny Young; four great grandchildren, Shelby Walker, Corbin Huff, Madison Neely and Max Valdez; sister, Alice Jackson, and nephew, Paul Burnett. He was born in Upshur County on October 28, 1929 to Marcus (Punch) and Myrtle Halyard. He retired from DP&L Light Co. in 1987. His lifelong passion was farming and gardening. Later is life he enjoyed traveling especially to Branson, MO. He also loved raising beefmaster cattle and attending cattle Auction. Glen was an avid shopper for many years. Most importantly he had an unconditional love for his grandchildren. His love for his family will always be remembered. The memorial service will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 18, 2015 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
