Glen McDowell's Obituary
Glen McDowell, 82, of Fairview, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in Allen, Texas. He was born on Monday, November 16, 1936, to his loving and thoughtful parents, John Scott and Lucile McDowell in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Evelyn Ray on June 13, 1959 in Friona, Texas. Glen was a retired purchasing manager of Integrated Circuits at Alcatel. He was an Ordained Deacon at First Baptist Church of Allen, Texas, where he taught Sunday school as well as other Bible studies in the area. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1959 with a B.S in Industrial Engineering. He was Charter Member of Calvary Baptist Church, of Garland, Texas in 1962. Glen was an avid golfer.He is survived by his wife Evelyn McDowell of Fairview, Texas, daughter; Rhonda McDowell Hill of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, son; Gordon R. McDowell and wife Lauren of Plano, Texas, and grandson; Jack Hill.Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services for Glen will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Allen, located at 201 E.
