Vickie and girls, was so saddened to see this obit and know of your loss. Your family will be in our prayers for the days ahead. Jan and Barron
Dear Popejoy Family, We were very sad to hear about the loss of Glen. We wanted you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. At a time like this, your faith will be challenged. Hold strong to your faith. Being the strong family that you are has its advantages, especially during this time. God will take care of you. May the Lord?s grace and compassion be your rock and give you inner peace. God is good and He is always right by your side. He hears and answers every prayer. Remember the good times you shared with Glen throughout the years. Hold on to those precious memories. We?re sure that he has left a beautiful Legacy behind through the lives that he touched. His presence is in your hearts. It will live on for years to come. Countless times throughout the days ahead, you will find yourselves remembering him. Although you can no longer see or hear him, know that he is not gone. He is just further down the path than the rest of us. Try to think of it this way? Heaven just received a ?new? angel. When you think that you?re at the end of your rope? just tie a knot and hold on with all your strength. Time is the greatest healer there is in life. Celebrate his life. Take good care of yourselves as you heal. ?Therefore I say unto, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.? Glen was one of the good guys in the racing community. He was quick to lend a hand to fix a fellow racers car or loan a needed part. My favorite memory of Glen comes from a Regional/National in Abilene. During the Saturday regional race he pulled behind a corner station and joined the workers watching and blue flagging the race. He loved his girls and was immensely proud of them. He will be missed
