Glen Moody Shaw's Obituary
Passed away December 9, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Glen was born January 15, 1916 in Idabel, Oklahoma. Long time resident of San Antonio, Glen moved to Dallas five years ago to be near her son. During her life Glen was active in numerous activities including President – Fort Sam Houston Ladies Golf Association, Director – Children’s Choir Ft. Moultrie, S.C. President- Percy Jones Army Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and Vice President- Ladies Dental Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Moody and her mother, Etta Russell and brothers Foy and Roy Moody. Glen was also preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years, George T. Perkins and her second husband of 37 years, Irwin T. Shaw. She is survived by many family members that love her dearly, including her daughter Deborah Hempling and husband Jack, sons Glen Perkins and wife Pamela and Mike Shaw and wife Linda. Glen also has numerous loving grandchildren including Elizabeth Hempling Zuroweste, Jack Hempling, Chris Perkins, Kathy Perkins Lapp, Jeannine Perkins Maulkey, Adam Shaw, Jason Shaw, Charlotte Shaw Dolat, John Shaw, and Alicia Shaw. In addition there are eight beautiful great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 2:30PM Thursday December 11, 2008 in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234.
