Glenda Ann Battle's Obituary
Glenda Ann Battle was born November 5, 1944, in Paris, Texas to Oliver Watson Rowlett and Edna Earl (Pruett) Rowlett. On December 20, 2025, she took her last breath on earth and her first breath in heaven, reuniting with her husband, Charles Wesley Battle and her parents.
Oliver and Edna made sure Glenda was raised in church and she confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as a child. In recent years she was an active member of Hunters Glen Baptist in Plano, Texas and The Berean Assembly in Wichita, Kansas. She had many friends at both Churches who she loved dearly.
Glenda lived her life for others and truly exemplified Christ’s love to those around her. This extended into her profession as a second-grade teacher at Yale Elementary in Richardson, Texas where she loved and poured her heart into her students for 30 years. She had many hobbies. She loved to sew, make ceramics and other crafts, cook, and entertain friends, but mostly she wanted to be a good wife to Charles, homemaker, and mother to Kyle.
Glenda is survived by one son, Kyle Battle of Goddard Kansas, brother in-law Ray Todd and his wife Sharon of Trenton, Tennessee, and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
"God saw Glenda was getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, He placed His arms around her and whispered, “come to me.”
