Glenda B. Bounds' Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenda B. Bounds, age 84, on August 28th, 2024, in Rockwall, Texas. Born on November 19th, 1939, at home in Farmersville, Texas, to Gibson Wayne and Jessie Brice, Glenda lived a life full of love, dedication, and adventure.
Glenda is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Wayne Bounds; her sons, Rick Zivney of Heath, Texas, and Chris Zivney of Whitehouse, Texas; her daughter, Dana White of Pasadena, Texas; as well as 10 cherished grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth.
She rededicated her life through baptism in 2024. A long-time member of the Saturn Road Church of Christ, Glenda's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found joy in reading a wide variety of books, always eager to explore new worlds through literature. Her career with the IRS spanned 25 years, during which she worked her way up to the top, demonstrating remarkable dedication and perseverance. She was also proud of the fact that she was double promoted in grade school.
Glenda also had a passion for traveling, and she and Wayne shared many wonderful adventures together. Her love for God, family, and country will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A time of family fellowship and gathering will be held at Restland Funeral Home with a committal service to follow.
Glenda's kindness, strength, and love will forever remain in our hearts. She will be dearly missed.
