GLENDA LEE FRANKS FROSCH
April 2, 1938 – Nov 8, 2022
Glenda was born April 2, 1938 in Exeter, Wise County Virginia. Passed away at Baylor Scott White Hospital in Plano on November 8, 2022. The last eight years of her life were spent at Hillcrest of Dallas and Signature Point nursing homes.
Glenda was the oldest of 5 children; she had 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
She began first grade in Exeter, VA, during WWII. The family moved to Benham, KY in 1946. Glenda attended school in Benham; third thru eleventh grade.
In 1954 the family moved to Dallas, Texas and settled in Oak Cliff. There Glenda attended W.H. Adamson High School and graduated in 1956. Glenda was a straight A student all through school. Her dream was to become a Medical Doctor. She was an avid reader of all books, this was her passion and hobby!!!
In 1958, on Sept 22, Glenda married Melton Lee Frosch of Mabank, TX. They were married 64 years until Melton’s death in May of 2022.
Glenda had three children: Cheryl Lee Frosch Waring of Dallas Texas, Timothy Lee Frosch Sr., of Carrollton, TX and Michael Lee Frosch of Dallas, TX.
Glenda was preceded in death by her Husband Melton Lee Frosch. Her Parents, Edward J. Franks and Mary Virginia Franks. Her sister Mary Evelyn Deckard, of Anchorage, AK. Brother, Josh Franks of Toledo OH, and her Grandson, Trey Carson, of Dallas.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl, Tim and Michael Frosch,
Eight Grandchildren: Summer (Victor) Vazquez, Daniel Carson, Lauren Carson, Royce Waring, Ciara Waring, Timothy Frosch Jr., and Leah (Christopher) Walker.
Seven Great grandchildren: Alyssa, Elizah, Ethan, Cade, Olivia, George, and Kilian and Aaron
Survived by; Sister, Loana Franks Archuleta and her husband Jack Humphreys, of DeSoto, TX; Her brother M. Wade Franks and his wife Charlotte, of Tulsa OK. She is also survived by her ex daughter-in-law, dear friend and caretaker, Sue Frosch of Carrollton, TX. Many cousins in Virginia, Kentucky, and Texas.
Glenda’s family was the highlight of her life. She was a homemaker who devoted herself to the wellbeing of her family. She enjoyed reading and watching old movies. She would go to the library and bring home books, 10 or more at a time; Read them all in about 2 weeks, then back to the library for more.
She was a devoted, wife, Mother and sister. The Family is so thankful she is no longer confined to the nursing home!!!

Visitation for Glenda will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Restland Memorial Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
