Glenn Eugene Carmack, age 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2018, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on Saturday, August 13, 1949, in Jacksonville, Texas. Glenn loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Longhorns, and couldn’t wait each year to watch his Longhorns take on the Sooners in the Cotton Bowl. His favorite sport was bowling, he loved tossing the football and baseball with family members, and he played a fierce game of dominoes. He enjoyed family get-togethers, was always up for a dare and/or a bet, and wouldn’t miss a Louisiana low country boil. He was employed at Parkland Hospital for 33 years dedicated to giving service to others. He is preceded in death by his Father, Eugene Carmack. Survived by his Mother, Betty Clare Carmack, Sisters: Constance D, Engels and Lisa C. Hurt and her husband, Lyndon, Brother, Ross Davis Carmack, six Nieces: Jennifer, Michelle, Yvonne, Lauren, Amy, and Emily, Nephew, Klaus Engels, and his wife Tammie, Cousins: Betty Ann, Robert, Karen, Vicky, Elaine, Mike, and Dickie, and Caregiver, Eilene Whitney. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, his devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.The family requests memorial donations be made to The National Association for Retarded Citizens (www.thearc.org) in lieu of flowers. At this time, funeral services for Mr. Glenn Eugene Carmack are as follows: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday August 20, 2018 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
