As I entered Huey’s Barber shop (Friday June1) I was told that Glenn had passed away. Sad news for anyone who knew him. Glenn was my Barber for over 20 years and I thoroughly enjoyed our visits. He would always ask how my folks were doing and I know he was really listening because on my next visit he would ask again and include part of what we discussd that previous time. We shared a love for hunting and I really enjoyed those conversations (and some occasional ‘horse trading”). I would sometimes bring him a few kids bikes that would get thrown out and he would rebuild them and then give them away. Even though we never met outside of his place of work I liked him right off., and followed him every time he relocated.
Prayers for Glenn and his family, a very big man with an even bigger heart!
R.I.P. my friend, I will miss our conversations.

I had the pleasure of knowing Glenn for over 40 years, as my barber, but also a dear family friend. Our family moved to whatever shop Glenn was cutting hair. Glenn always greeted us with a smiling face, and was always asking about the family and their well being. He cut my fathers hair( what little he had) and enjoyed teasing him about how much to take off. He cut my hair, and was the only barber my son and grandson ever knew. He will be dearly missed.

I knew Glen for about 3 years. He always had a smile and story when he cut my hair. We both enjoy hunting and gun collecting and he always loved talking about his deer lease. It’s too bad because he thought he could get me on his lease this year. I sure would have liked to spend time with him at his ‘place’. God speed Glen.My condolences,

We will certainly miss Glenn and his wonderful personality. After Mrs. England left the old barber shop at Forest and Greenville, Glenn was the only person who ever cut our son’s hair. He also cut Craig’s hair for many, many years.
He was a kind and generous man, gone too soon.
