Dr. Glenn Dana Roe's Obituary
Dr. Glenn Dana Roe was born on March 5, 1931 in Danbury, CT and passed away on October 10, 2016 in Plano, TX. Preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria JoAnn Ramsey Roe and his son, Bruce Glenn Roe. Survived by his 4 children, Barbara Roe, Sally Roe Saenz, Vivian Davis Reed, Darlene Davis Owens and his 7 grandchildren, Dale Roe, Samantha Raffman Tams, Miranda Raffman, Gloria Saenz, Sydney Saenz, Natalie Saenz, Joseph Combs, and his 3 great grandchildren: Glenn Roe, Cassandra Miller, and Alison Combs. Glenn was in the Coast Guard and in the Air Force. He also earned a masters degree in Mathematics and Geology from TCU as well as a Doctorate in Geology from MIT. His passions in life were sailing, traveling, photography, tennis, playing games with the family, and the 2 loves of his life, Gloria and Margie. He was very lucky to find love for the 2nd time when he met Margie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 3 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home followed by internment of his and Gloria’s ashes in a memorial bench in the Whispering Waters II area. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
