Gloria B. Alley's Obituary
ALLEY, GLORIA B. died on January 11, 2013 in the Intensive Care Unit of Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas. Born to James Paul and Thera Connor Bryant in Dallas on May 13, 1927, Gloria moved with her parents to Millburn, New Jersey, at the age of five when her father was transferred by his company to New York City. She returned to Dallas to attend Southern Methodist University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and met her future husband James S. Alley. She graduated in 1949. Gloria was a member of the Dallas Woman’s Club, Garden Study Club, Village Review Club, D.A. R, and her beloved “Sewing Club.” She is survived by her husband and two sons James S. Alley Jr. of Houston and Paul B. Alley of San Francisco. Please, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Services are pending.
