Gloria Ashley's Obituary
Gloria M. Scallon was born in Dallas, Texas November 15th 1926 and passed away peacefully on June 20th 2016. She was married to Charles E. Ashley for 57 years where they raised their four children of whom all reside in the DFW area. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, sister and son-in-law Keith Rowe. She is survived by her daughter Andrea Hearon and son-in-law Mark Hearon, daughter Waverly McCarthy and son-in-law Bob McCarthy, daughter Sharon Rowe and son Alan Ashley. She is also survived by grandchildren Mark Hearon Jr. and wife Kate, Kyndall Hearon and Mallory McCarthy. Gloria was a lifelong member of First Baptist church Dallas for 69 years. She was a loving mother and devout Christian who loved the Lord Jesus and Gods word. She served in the church as a Sunday school teacher, Sanctuary Choir member, women’s chorus and as a volunteer for Buckner Children’s Home. She will be sorely missed by those who love her, but we know that she now is experiencing the relationship she had with Jesus here on earth, in a way she could never have imagined, now in Heaven. Isaiah 40:8 The visitation for Gloria Ashley will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. The graveside service for Gloria will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 24, 2016 at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
