Gloria Mendoza Cantu was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend to many. She has gone to Heaven and left us with nothing but great memories. Gloria passed away peacefully at her home in Garland, Texas surrounded by family.
Gloria, 74, was born Saturday, September 6, 1947 in Brownsville, Texas. She has left behind, her husband of 49 years, Frederico V. Cantu; Son Greg Reyes; Daughters Crissy Reyes and Nelinda Cantu; Granddaughters Alysa and Chelsey Moore; Great-Granddaughter Atticus Simpson; Daughter-in-Law Amanda Reyes, Grandson-in-Law, Gavin Simpson, and her Sister, Rosa Barrera (Brownsville, TX). She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and great friends.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Richardson, Texas and, a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul. Her hobbies and interests included interior design, DIY projects, collecting antiques and dolls, estate sales, travel and, spending time with her family. Gloria loved her neighborhood and community.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel Alatorre, Constancio Mendoza; brothers Rodolfo and Raul Cortinas; and her Sister, Raquel Cortinas.
