Gloria Rose Harrison, age 93, of Richardson, TX passed away peacefully on January 19, 2019 on in Lewisville, Texas. Gloria Rose Harrison was born on September 6, 1925, to her loving and thoughtful parents John S Harper and Jessie Mcknight in Port Arthur, TX. Gloria Rose Harrison is survived by her son Robert L Harrison and wife Glenna – Lewisville, TX, grandparents Wendi O’Neal – Kentucky, Rachel Harrison – Austin, TX, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband William A (Dub) Harrison and son Jonathan Harrison.Gloria Rose Harrison had two older brothers and a younger brother and sister. The family moved before 1940 to Massachusetts so her father could work in the shipyards. Gloria attended ACC in Abilene University for several years before her marriage to William Harrison in 1946. The couple worked at establishing a church in Manchester New Hampshire and then in Melrose Mass. They adopted two sons, Jon and Robert and worked in west Hartford Con where she attended the University of Hartford and became an Elementary School teacher. Dub and Gloria moved to Texas in 1973 and worked at Waterview Church of Christ in 1976 where they worked until Dubs passing in 2009. They were married for 62 years.At this time, funeral services for Gloria are scheduled for Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Restland Wildwood Chapel at 10:00 am.
