Gloria Jeanne Watson Cutrell's Obituary
Died Wednesday, January 25, 2017, peacefully at her home at Wesley Oaks Memory Care in Sulphur Springs, TX. Gloria was known for her love of Jesus and her family. She was a devoted wife of Martin Thomas Cutrell for 62 years. Her family always appreciated her grace and mercy…and that she was a lot of fun! Her faith in Jesus Christ was her sustaining belief in this life and for eternity. Gloria was born on August 18, 1926, in Temple, Texas. She graduated from high school and then attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a BS in business. She worked with her husband for many years in the high school Sunday School of First Baptist Church of Dallas. She was also involved in the garden club, Richardson Women’s club, and WMU. She was always involved in her kid’s activities and attended many choir tours and camps as a sponsor, and she taught in Vacation Bible School and brought kids with her for years. Her hobbies included photography, needlepoint, photo albums, travel, and helping her family. For the last 14 years, she lived in Sulphur Springs and the East Texas area to be near family. While there, she and her husband were faithful members as long as she was able of First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs, TX. She is survived by a son, Dr. Martin Thomas Cutrell, III, and his wife Debbi, of Paris; a son, Dr. Curtis Watson Cutrell and wife Susan of Sulphur Springs; a daughter, Gail Riley of Boerne, TX; and a daughter, Ruth Blandino and husband, Chris of Grapevine, TX; grandchildren: Megan Riley and Tyler Fincher and Emma of Kyle; Michael Riley and wife, Jacqueline and Elizabeth of Austin; Dr.Brad Cutrell and wife Crystal and Levi and Isaiah of Dallas; Ben Cutrell and wife Sarah and Jay of Lexington, KY; Melissa Cutrell Peugh and husband Josh and Finley, of Sulphur Springs; Sarah Cutrell Sherman, husband Jeff and Harper, Brody and Walker of Flower Mound; Carol Cutrell Sunner and husband, Andrew of Live Oak, TX; Rebekah Cutrell of Dallas; Ian Berry of Dallas; Nathan Berry of Grapevine; Christa Blandino Criss and husband, Tony of Lewisville, TX; and Nicholas Blandino and wife, Victoria of Coppell, TX. All grandchildren are honorary pallbearers. Gloria will be greatly missed by those who loved her. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28th at Truett Chapel at First Baptist Church of Dallas from 2:00PM until the service at 2:30P.M for a memorial service with Dr. Mark Bryant and Dr. Fred Lewis of First Baptist Church Sulphur Springs officiating. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. at Restland Memorial Park, Garden of Faith. Arrangements are under the direction of Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, TX.
