Bob Barna
I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dr Gordon Graham. In the 1980’s I was introduced to one of Gordon Graham’s earlier books on managing distribution inventory. Soon after, I read and embraced “Distribution Inventory Management for the 1990’s”, and each of his subsequent books. I also attended a number of lectures and seminars presented by Gordon Graham, as his teachings truly resonated with me. I became a devoted disciple of his work.
At that time, I was in my 40’s, with over a decade as a mid-level manager in wholesale distribution. Suffice it to say that as a result of embracing and applying the principles and algorithms developed by Dr Gordon Graham, I revitalized and reinvented by career. I continued to work full time with a national distributor / manufacturer of packaging solutions, interfacing with our provider of manufacturing software, until my retirement in 2019 at age 72. Much of my responsibility was developing and implementing distribution software logic to effectively manage the distribution side of our business.
Simply put, I will be eternally grateful to Gordon Graham for teaching me and empowering me with the knowledge to have a successful, fruitful career.
Rest in peace, sir. Thank you. Bob Barna
