Dr. Gordon O. Parrish Sr.'s Obituary
PARRISH, SR., Dr. GORDON O. Passed on April 3, 2012, one month shy of his 90th birthday. He is preceded in death by his youngest son Charles. He is survived by his son Gordon Jr., daughter Vera Parrish Goncalves and grandchildren Paul and Michael Goncalves. He was raised in the Methodist Home in Waco and was a dedicated member and past president of its alumni association. A World War II veteran, he earned a Ph.D. and became a college professor and later a federal government economist. Funeral services will be Monday, April 9 at 9:30 a.m. at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Home Alumni Association, 1439 Methodist Ranch Road, Waco, TX 76705.
