I was very sorry to hear of Rocky's homegoing, but also rejoicing knowing he is in the presence of the Lord. I remember my many conversations with him at Scofield. He was a godly example to me, and one who met the qualifications of being an elder. And he had a great voice! My prayers are with the Tovey family.
My sympathies to the Tovey family. I met Rocky many years ago as a salesman calling on him at his original Plano Rd. location and later at his new location. I also enjoyed chatting with him at the House cafe on many Saturday mornings. I admired his honesty and genuineness in business and the conversations that we had over the years. He has been rewarded for his goodness.
Rocky and Arlene have been such special people in my life the past three decades, particularly after the death of my mom and included me as one of the family through the years. He was a shining example of a man of faith and character. All who knew him saw God's light shining within him. Goodbye, Rocky. So glad you are at home in Heaven and at peace. Rocky will always be remembered for giving comfort to all of us in sickness and in health. He was truly a "Man of God" and all share in his great loss! Our deepest sympathy to Arlene and all her lovely family with love and hugs from her loving friends, Cecille Price and Jessonda Fox.
Rocky is a tremendously friendly and encouraging believer. He met us when we first started attending Scofield. His cheerful, pleasant, friendly, loving, joyful attitude toward others is an attraction for all, and a testament of the Lord's work in his life. He provided strength to the weak, joy to the downcast, and help to those in need. Our love and prayers go out to Arlene and the family.
