Grace Hernandez Guzman's Obituary
Sunday, September 4th, Grace Guzman also know to her husband, children, and grandchildren as Mama, passed away at the age of 90. She is remembered as a loving, caring, and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Grace was born from the union of Maria Antonieta Hernandez and Alfonso Villagran on December 5, 1931, in Mexico City, Mexico. She grew alongside four brothers, Victor, Jaime, Armando, and Octavio.
She married Cosme Guzman from Tampico, Mexico and lived in Dallas, TX where they started their family. Grace had four daughters that she cared for and loved.
She loved spending time with her family, doing puzzles on her phone or iPad, keeping up with friends and family on Facebook, enjoyed shopping, and working with her hands either crocheting, knitting, or making crafts. She absolutely loved her pets, spoiling them with toys and treats. She always put others first and helped those in need.
Grace was a religious woman, listening to daily Mass when she was unable to attend and was always praying for her family and friends.
Grace is survived by the love of her life of 66 years, Cosme Guzman, her four daughters and their spouses Janet Meignein (Thierry), Linda Guzman, Celeste Lee (Mark), and Grace Lewis (Kevin); her brothers Octavio and Armando; grandchildren Jorge (SueAnn), Joe (Corinne), Adam (Steven), Kayden, Ambrose, Andrew, Nate, Andree, Kayla, Brady (Beccah) and great grandchildren Dantyn, Aubrey, and Rowdy.
It was Grace’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center.
