Grace U. Oke's Obituary
We honor the life and memory of Madam Grace Ukanwa Oke, who peacefully went to be with Christ on May 17, 2025. She was surrounded by the love of her family. Born on September 22, 1949 in Ohafia, Nigeria, Grace was a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, most known for her kindness, humor, laughter, strength and generosity. She was the cherished mother of Lynda, Mary and Ada.
Grace Ukanwa Oke dedicated her life to her family and her career caring for others as a nurse and midwife in Nigeria as well as continuing her career as a nurse in the United States. She will be remembered most for her warm smile, kind heart and unwavering support of those around her and her legacy of compassion and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her commitment to helping others and bringing people
together left a lasting impact on the community. Her love and devotion to her family were unmatched, and she will be forever remembered by her children, other family members and her many dear friends.
Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on. Her journey was great and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in heavenly peace, Madam Grace Ukanwa Oke.
