Grant Lawrence Pavlis' Obituary
Grant Lawrence Pavlis, 37, of Plano, TX, passed away August 26, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born April 23, 1979 in Dallas, the son of Carole and Robert Pavlis. He attended Plano schools and graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1997. Grant was an adventurous child. He played baseball and football and loved the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. He could be mischievous at times, but he was a loving and kind soul who loved animals so much that he often brought home strays. Grant enjoyed playing golf especially with his father and brother. After living in Las Vegas for four years, he returned to Dallas in 2007 and worked at Prestonwood Country Club and Pavlis Custom Homes, LLC. Grant is survived by his father Robert Pavlis; his mother and stepfather Carole and Van Robertson; his brother Chandler Pavlis; and his sister and brother-in-law Allison (Pavlis) and Nick Bassiouni. He also leaves behind his Uncle John Gore and his wife Sherry Gore; his aunt Carol (Pavlis) Heath; his cousins and many loving friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Frederick and Jane Pavlis; his maternal grandparents Byron and Lucille Gore, and his uncle David Gore. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 31st at 2:30 p.m. at the Restland Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Dallas at www.namidallas.org.
