Gregory (Greg) Scott Hubbard's Obituary
Gregory Scott (Greg) Hubbard of The Woodlands, Texas passed away suddenly on Monday, November 28, 2022 at the age of 65. Greg was born on April 5, 1957 in Owensboro, Kentucky. He received degrees in psychology and business administration from the University of Texas in Austin. He spent many years in the software industry, retiring in 2016 as a regional vice president for Oracle. He was devoted to his family and happiest when he was surrounded by them. Greg and Beth enjoyed 32 years of marriage and his pride and joy was his daughter Rachel. He was a talented basketball player for Richardson High School where he graduated in 1975 and then went on to the University of Texas. His love of sports, especially basketball and football continued throughout his life and he eagerly anticipated fall football and March Madness.
Laid-back with a quick wit, Greg was fortunate to have a large circle of friends. He loved playing golf where low scores took a back seat to laughter and joking. He enjoyed great Tex-Mex and barbecue with a cold beer, Florida and Hawaii beach trips, and playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Patsy Hubbard, and his brother Randall Hubbard. He is survived by his wife Beth Hubbard, daughter Rachel Hubbard and nephew Bryce Hubbard along with a number of family members and close friends. A memorial service will be held at the chapel of First United Methodist Church of Richardson at 3:30pm Monday, December 12th.
