Greta Lanelle (Todd) McMichael's Obituary
Greta Lanelle (Todd ) McMichael was born May 11, 1933 in Crandall, Mississippi. She passed away from sudden illness in Frisco,Texas on April 26, 2021.
At age 5 she moved and lived through high school years in Butler, Alabama.
She married her husband Calvin, right out of high school and traveled throughout the USA and Canada with him for his job in the oil business. Greta lived in Altoona, Pennsylvania, where her first son was born and then on to Magnolia, Arkansas where two more sons were born. Moving on to Shreveport,Louisiana and then finally to Dallas,Texas. She completed business school and later became a member of the Desk and Derrick Club of Dallas and worked her way up to President. She worked several years in the oil business with Santa Fe Oil, Enerco and retired from her career in 1995 with the self described best job at Rancho Oil Company.
She enjoyed her retirement with traveling and cruising.
She is preceded in death by husband Calvin , sons Robert and Ronnie McMichael, parents Myrtle and Heyward Todd, brother Elton Todd, sisters Lillie Cooper and Bennie Sue Robinson.
She is survived by son Carey and wife Harriett McMichael of Shreveport,Louisiana, grandsons Iain McMichael of Dallas, Texas and Noah McMichael of Baton Rouge, Louisiana , sister Peggy Herndon of Nashville, Tennessee , brother Truman Todd of Butler, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
