Guillermo Poch Andrews' Obituary
Mr. Guillermo Poch Andrews, also known as “Bill”, age 92, passed away on November 11, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He was born to Mr. Guillermo Andrews Dominguez and Ms. Francisca Antonia Poch Riba on Monday, August 14, 1933, in Concepcion, Chile. Bill was married to Ms. Martha Vansant Andrews, who went to heaven on March 21, 2006. Bill is survived by his son Mr. Guillermo (Van) Vansant Andrews and wife Ms. Jaclyn K Anderhub; daughter Ms. Laura Vansant Andrews, and Grandchildren, Dr. Katharine Andrews, Mr. William Andrews, Mr. Thomas Andrews, Mr. James Andrews, Ms. Destiny Andrews, and Mr. Donovan Dudley. Bill immigrated to the United States in 1959, from Chile, to marry Martha Jeanne Vansant and pursue the American dream. He lived in Northern Oklahoma and Southern Kansas before moving to Dallas in 1965, and then Richardson in 1970. Bill was an Engineer’s Aide and Electronics Technician with Texas Instruments from 1965 until his retirement in 1998. After his retirement, he took up French, as his third language and devoted his retirement to being with his wife Martha, many grandchildren and travel to Chile, France, Spain, Italy and Corsica, as well as his many ocean cruises. For many years in retirement, Bill served as an Ambassador Volunteer at DFW International airport, where he helped travelers using the three languages he spoke. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, TX and can be reached at 972.238.7111. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Restland Event Center.
