Gus Lueck, Jr.'s Obituary
Gus Lueck, Jr. passed away peacefully on December 12, 2019 at the age of 83. Gus was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend. Gus is preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Ethel Lueck and his late grandson, Joshua Pandit. He is survived by his wife, Joan, daughters, Vikki Pandit (husband David) and Laura Steinberg (husband Don), and granddaughters Tara Chaney (husband Robert) and Caroline Tapley. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps (Oorah!) and served as an Officer in the First Marine Division from 1954-1958. Gus’s love for all things great and small was pure and unconditional. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, gardening, and watching wildlife from his home in Coppell. While Gus is so missed by loved ones, we find comfort in one of his favorite sayings, “loving you is the easiest thing I’ve ever had to do” because loving him was incredibly easy. He was kind, had a dry sense of humor, was caring, and all around a great man. Family will receive friends on December 15, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held. in lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be sent to Semper Fi Fund (semperfifund.org).
