Mamaw, I love you forever and ever and always and will miss you even more.
I have so many wonderful memories. When I would spend the night with you and Papaw, you’d always have hot oatmeal ready for me with milk and bananas because you knew how much I loved it. I still can’t make it as good as you did and finally gave up trying!
When we’d spend time at the cabin during summer, mud pies were a necessity, so you’d make sure to have spoons and pots set aside for Chelsea and I to play in the dirt with. And homemade ice cream was always a must! You would keep the freezer stocked with those brightly colored tube popsicles so we could cool off from the heat! And I was the special one that got my own cot to sleep on in the room with you and Papaw. I was always reminded to watch out for scorpions though.
I loved mall walking early in the mornings with you two. It was my special time with you both.
My favorite dress as a kid was one that you had made for me as a birthday present. It was pink and floral and perfectly girly! You crocheted the best Barbie dresses and taught me how to crochet as well. I just recently gave up the plastic snowflakes & white yarn for someone else to enjoy!
I got my love of word puzzles from you! You we’re always cutting them out of the newspaper and were kind enough to share your stash with me.
I could go on and on, but most importantly, thank you for giving me the BEST memories and loving me so well! I got so very lucky in the granddaughter department!
