Guy Doyle Benningfield's Obituary
Guy D. Benningfield was born January 25, 1932 in Campbellsville, KY and passed away November 24, 2015 in Dallas, TX. He is survived by his daughter Tammy Davis, his son Guy R. Benningfield, 7 grandchildren; as well as two brothers, Wilbur and Lellis Benningfield. He spent his life serving our country and community. First he served as a member of the United States Coast Guard and then as a Dallas Police Officer from 1952 to 1987 (35 years). He proudly started and lead the DWI squad for the DPD and served as President of MADD after his retirement from the force. The funeral service for Guy Benningfield will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 12:30 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
