Guy Razzeto's Obituary
Guy B. Razzeto, Major, USAF (Retired) of University Park, died August 30, 2015 at the age of 90. Major Razzeto was born July 18, 1925 in San Diego, CA, the son of Gaetano and Margaret Helen Razzeto. He graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in 1943 and immediately entered the Army Air Corps as an aviation cadet. He graduated from pilot training at the age of 19 just prior to the end of WWII. Major Razzeto served in the Air Force for 23 years as a fighter pilot, war plans staff officer and air advisor to the Chinese Air Force. He flew P-61 night fighters at the close of WWII and F-84s in the Korean War. He was a Senior Pilot and received a number of service awards and decorations including two Distinguished Flying Crosses and five Air Medals. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Major Razzeto was employed by Lockheed Martin Vought Systems for 30 years as a Test Operations Engineer. Major Razzeto is survived by his wife, Revill Ann; brother, Jack Razzeto of Redding, CA; sister, Patricia Loschen of Seattle, WA; three daughters, Lynn Handlin, Carol Razzeto and Jennifer Wilson; and grandchildren, Geoffrey McDonald, Kaitlyn Kaleta, Kelly Wilson, and Michael Wilson. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 6:00–8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 3:00 PM. Burial to follow in Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests the memorial contributions be made to the charity or church of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 at Restland Road.
