Guy McBride Smith Jr.'s Obituary
Smith, Guy Jr. was born on January 22, 1926 and passed away on April 13, 2015. He grew up in Wake Forest and graduated from Wake Forest College. He joined the Navy for the duration of WWII, serving with honor as a gunner’s mate in in the Pacific. He worked for Dodge Brothers and then Chrysler Corporation for 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Myrt Smith, daughters Anne Grills and Lynne Smith-Brush, grandchildren Lisa Roark and Jason DeVore, and great grandson Carter DeVore. Rest in peace, Dad, and thank you for everything. A memorial service will be Friday at 3:00 PM, April 17, 2015 in The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
