Guyanne Booth's Obituary
Guyanne Tittle Booth passed away on March 5, 2019. Guyanne was born in Dallas, Texas on September 15, 1932 to Dr. and Mrs. Guy A. Tittle (Willola Buster). She attended Bradfield Elementary, the Hockaday School, and Randolph Macon. In 1952 she married the love her life, Charles Clinton Booth. Guyanne grew up in the East Dallas ChristIan Church and after living in Virginia, Austin, Corpus Christi, and at Flat Top Ranch, Walnut Springs, Texas, she and Clint returned to Dallas. In 1989 she and Clint joined the Church of the Incarnation. Guyanne was an avid reader and life long student, studying Ancient Greek and the Bible throughout her life. She was a supporter of the C. S. Lewis J. R. R. Tolkien Society, organizing numerous Bible Studies and events for over 30 years. She was awarded an honorary degree from the St. Thomas More College. In 2008 Guyanne published her first of three novels, Robbers’ Roost, soon followed by The Green Canoe and Ann Brown. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority, The Dallas Woman’s Club, The Junior League, the Mary K. Craig Class, The Marianne Scruggs Garden Club, The Standard Club, and Topics and Trends. In recent years she loved spending Sundays at both Incarnation and All Saints Church Dallas.Her husband, Clint, passed away in 1994 and her sister, Emmy Jane Tittle Clinton, passed away in 2018.She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-laws, Elisabeth and Don Turner, Katharine and David Goodson, Caroline and Matthew Norris; grandchildren and spouses, Lisa Turner and Tim Anastasi, Beau and Molly Justice, Clint and Katy Justice, and Duke Norris; great-grandchildren, Brock and Walker Anastasi, Charlie and Emma Kate Justice and Henry Justice, as well as many god children and “adopted” loved ones whom she cherished.Services will be at the Church of the Incarnation on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Church of the Incarnation, 3966 McKinney Ave., Dallas, Texas 75204 or to All Saints Church Dallas, 2733 Oak Lawn Ave., Dallas, Texas 75219.
