Gwendolyn Louise Blair Deavers' Obituary
BLAIR, GWENDOLYN L. Passed on to Our Lord on Friday, June 24th, 2011 at the age of 83. Memaw, as she was known by so many loved ones, was a tender and yet very strong spirit and was the center and rock of our family. Family was always first in her heart, and she has instilled unconditional love in each of us who loved her so much. She was born in Dallas and was married to her husband of 61 years, William (Bill) Blair until his death in 2009. She was always content to support her family through her actions, not words. She worked for the US Census Bureau with her surviving sister, Billie Faye Melaun, before retiring. She is survived by the most loving of families; Daughters Susan (Randy) Atkinson, Elaine Blair, Lynnette (Barry) Marks; Grandchildren Aimee (Randy) Shaw and Grady (Misty) King, Jesse & Molly Bissonette. Her Great Grandchildren Blake, Brooke, Shelby & Jackson were a great source of joy to her. Services will be held at Restland with Visitation Tues, June 28, 2011 from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Wed, June 29th at 12:30 p.m. We love and will honor you forever, Memaw.
