H C "Chuck" Sibley Jr.'s Obituary
H C (Chuck) Sibley Jr. was born on November 20, 1942 to H C and Helen Matthews Sibley. He grew up on a small farm in Bedford, Texas, attending Bedford Grammar School and Hurst L. D. Bell High School. Chuck was a 4 sport letterman and was inducted into the HEB Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the 1958 L. D. Bell Baseball Team. In addition to his athletic prowess, Chuck went on to excel academically. He attended TCU on an academic scholarship and graduated with honors from the School of Business with a major in Economics. He graduated from SMU in 1967 with a Juris Doctor Degree, and went on to earn a Masters of Law in Taxation from NYU. Chuck ran a successful law practice in Dallas for 40 years. He was the co-creator of the first electronic futures trading system patent in America. He was an avid sports fan and lifetime supporter of TCU and SMU Athletics. Chuck is survived by his brother Gary Sibley and wife Cyndi, Arlington; sister Sandy Sibley Haynes, Hurst; nephew Rhett Haynes and wife Val, Lucas; niece Dina Haynes, Denton; and great nephews Carter and Brooks Haynes, Lucas, and many wonderful friends in the DFW area. He will be missed more than words can express. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Restland Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in Memorial Chapel.
