Haney Lee Williams' Obituary
Haney Lee Williams Jr. was born on September 11,1946 in Louisville, Kentucky. Preceded in death by his parents, Haney and Estee Williams. Haney departed his physical life on December 16, 2016 at the age of 70 to begin his eternal life. Haney retired from Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages after 25 years of loyal service. While employed at Bell, Haney met the “Love of his Life,” Barbara Vaughan. They were united in holy matrimony in the year of 1986 after a loving courtship of 8 years. Barbara & Haney had recently celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary. To this union, Haney & Barbara added two beautiful children and four marvelous grandchildren were born. We can say that Haney definitely loved spending quality time with his family. When he was not with a member of his family, Haney devoted his free time to two very important organizations. In the first one, Haney gave of himself by serving on the Deacon Board for Dallas Community Bible Fellowship. In the second, he also gave of himself as a valuable and compassionate Hospice Volunteer. Haney served his Country for four years as a member of the United States Navy. Surviving Haney are the f oFiowing: His Wife, Barbara Vaughan, His Daughter, Amanda (Matt Daniels), His Son, Stefan (Alysa Carter) His only special Granddaughter, Destiny Felton, and Grandsons, Eli Daniels, Donovan Daniels, and Kayson Williams. His sisters, Judy Wilson, Nina Douglas, and Shirley & her husband Randy McAlister, Sister-in-Laws, Earnestine Vaughan, Dorothy Smith and Shelly Vaughan, As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Family and friends will dearly miss Haney, for he filled the hearts of many by freely giving of himself with love, understanding, and compassion The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas.) . A graveside service will be held Monday, Decemeber 26, 2016 at 10:15AM at DFW National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75211. Service will be held on Friday, 11:00 AM on December 23, 2016 at North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship (2801 E. President George Bush Hwy, Piano, Texas, 75074.). The Williams / Vaughan family offers their deepest gratitude to their family members, fellow church members and to all our friends who have shown an outpouring of love, prayers and support during this difficult time.We find comfort in knowing Haney is in the loving arms of God.
