Harold Pershing Angel's Obituary
Services for Harold P. Angel, 89, will be Tuesday, May 13, at Restland Funeral Home in the Wildwood Chapel at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Steve Ditmore officiating. Interment at Restland will follow with Masonic rituals by Garland Lodge #441. Harold P. Angel was born Sept. 29, 1918 in Plano and died May 10, 2008 in Longview, TX. Mr. Angel was a navy veteran of WWII having served on the USS Smith. He retired from International Harvester, Inc. and worked consulting with the trucking industry for several years afterward. He was preceded in death by his first wife Reba, daughter, Beverly Averitt,sons, Terry and Woody Angel. Survivors include his wife, Grace Allyene Angel of Longview, son Kyp and wife Gee of Alpine, grandchildren Sgt Jason Angel serving in Iraq, Wendy, Marissa, Isaiah, and Megan Angel, Steve, Rick, and Mike Averitt and 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Nancy Griffin, brother-in-law Clyde Hartline. Also surviving are step-daughters Grace Shore, Elane Osteen, and Kathy Branum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1444, Gladewater, TX 75647.
