My Dearest Uncle Harold and Aunt Wanda and Becky! You are so precious to me. Uncle Harold was a man that showed me love from the moment I even had a memory. I remember his funny little laugh and his elegant gentle demeanor. He was a support to me in all of my endeavors. Never judging, he quietly gave me support with his encouragements, his laughter at all my silly faux pas, and his energy to get behind all my efforts to better my little world. Uncle Harold worked for Sears as a store manager for many years, and he gave me my first job at Sears in women's sports wear. I learned a lot! I would periodically visit him and Aunt Wanda and talk about the funny stories of people trying on things in the dressing room. Too small, too revealing-yikes! We would always laugh. He never checked on me at Sears, but I knew he had my back. He supported me through my life by attending all my performances on stage and always beaming at any of my efforts to sing or perform. I felt he was proud of me, whether I was good or not. I will never forget the day that I was in the middle of a divorce in my early 30's and I needed to paint my house. I never asked for his help. I just looked up as I was carrying the paint to the front of the house, and he showed up. Ready to start the paint job. I stood in awe as I saw my Uncle just quietly rise to the occasion to help me, without me even asking for it. It is something I will never forget. Rising to help me because he thought I needed it. Amazing! I never thought I could have fun painting a house, but I did with Uncle Harold! He was gracious, smart, kind and a true strength to all that knew him. I always looked for a hug and a laugh from his beautiful disposition. He loved his family extremely, and you always felt safe in any wisdom that he would impart. You could bank on Him! And what he said! The thing I remember most, was the fact that I felt his Love. He LOVED me. My life was so much better for having had Uncle Harold in my life. He was a ray of hope, a spray of sunshine and a ballast to fall on when I needed him. I loved him dearly and he will always remain in my heart…..until we meet again! Thanks for taking the time to show love to me! Melody Jones
