Harold W. Blake's Obituary
Harold W. Blake 79 was born on May 10, 1935 in Curtis, Nebraska to parents Orla and Musetta Blake. He passed away on September 6, 2014 in Richardson, TX, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Harold spent his younger years growing up on a farm in Nebraska and then as a teen his family moved to Warren, MI. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Warren in 1953. He joined the Marine Corp shortly after graduation in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1957 as a Sergeant. Harold then married Evelyn Michelsen on February 8, 1957 and they were married for 57 years, the last 40 years in Richardson, TX. Harold was a computer analyst for Mobil Oil for 35 years. Harold and Evelyn had 3 children, Kevin, Robin and Craig. He was preceded in death by both his parents, his oldest son, Kevin and a brother, Bob Blake. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughter, Robin; son, Craig and 3 sisters, Shirley Terry, Kerren Heilman and Donna Hayes. His hobbies he enjoyed were fishing, skeet and trap shooting. The Blake family would like to thank all their friends and all the family at Richardson East Church of Christ for all the prayers, visits, food and kind gestures during this difficult time. A visitation for Harold Blake will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Service for Harold Blake will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home followed by a graveside interment. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238.
