Harold Wayne Bolding's Obituary
Harold Wayne Bolding was born on April 21,1930 in Forney, Texas, to Dee and Eunice Bolding. He passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17th at the age of 94.
He graduated from Forney High School and attended college until he was drafted into the Army serving as a Private First Class in the Artillery Division at Fort Bliss in El Paso. During that time, he met and married the love of his life, Syble Lindsey, from Rockwall in February 1950. They celebrated 70 years of marriage before her passing. They raised one son, Gilbert, and one daughter, Karen, in Garland with a 1-year detour in Odessa.
He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriner Hella Patrol for over 50 years, eventually serving as captain of the Hella Patrol.
He had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned and operated several businesses. He eventually worked at the United State Post Office in Richardson and retired after 30+ years of service.
As an active member of Orchard Hills Baptist Church, he served as a deacon and on several committees. His life’s priorities were, His Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, his family, his community and his work. He had a gentle soul and kind sweet spirit.
He loved to travel, even if it was only to Choctaw for a free night. He loved all the 42 games with friends and family. He was an ice cream connoisseur and there was not a Blue Bell flavor he did not like.
