Mr. Harold H. Muller's Obituary
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away of complications of heart disease August 28, 2007, in Dallas, Texas. Born to Thelma and Charles Muller, March 16, 1925, in Bristow, Oklahoma, Rick entered the V12 U.S. Naval Reserve Officers’ Training at the University of Oklahoma July 1, 1943, and was commissioned as an Ensign October 27, 1945. He married Elsie Dee Hughes October 28, 1945, in Miami, Oklahoma. He received his degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1947, and worked for Lufkin Industries in oil field equipment sales for 40 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Dallas, retiring in 1989. As a Texas Registered Professional Engineer, he was a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and the Petroleum Engineers Club of Dallas. He taught for the American Petroleum Institute in the School of Beam Pumping and sat on the Advisory Committee for the Schools of Production Technology for API. An accomplished violinist in high school, Rick enjoyed playing with the Tuesday Adventures music group at Highland Park United Methodist Church where he was a member. He nurtured his own deep appreciation for music in each of his five children. He is survived by his wife and children, Dana Muller of South Hadley, Massachusetts and Tucson, Arizona; Sally Muller Armstrong of Plano; Joan Elaine Muller of Boulder, Colorado; Trish Muller Koran of Northridge, California; and Steve Muller of Coppell; two brothers, Wayne Muller of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Jim Muller of Oklahoma City; one grandson Corey Armstrong and one granddaughter Elizabeth Trixie Muller, and many nieces and nephews.
