Harriett Elaine Lambert's Obituary
A Celebration of Life
Harriett Elaine (Thompson) Lambert was born on February 24, 1957, to Willie Harold Thompson and Ruthie Marie (Hill) Lowe.
She grew up in Hamilton Park, Texas, and attended Hamilton Park School. Harriett accepted Christ at an early age. As the youngest of eight children, she often shared that her family didn’t say “I love you” in words—but they showed love through their actions.
Harriett’s own love language became cooking and serving others. It was her passion and her gift. If Harriett was in the kitchen, you knew the meal would be made from scratch and seasoned with love. Through these acts of service, she taught her children and grandchildren that love is best expressed through action.
A true jack of all trades, Harriett embraced many interests. As the years passed, she also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crafting, often gifting her creations to family and friends. In her later years, she found joy in sitting in her living room, listening to music of all kinds—from cassette tapes to CDs, and exploring new artists on Pandora.
Harriett was loved by many and known for her famous pound cakes. She was the mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt you called for anything you needed—and if she didn’t have the answer, she would help you figure it out.
Though she has departed this world, her giving heart, humor, resilience, and strength will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
