Harrill Haddix Hightower Jr.'s Obituary
HIGHTOWER, HARRILL HADDIX, JR., age 83, of Hubbard, TX, died at Hill Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 16, 2010, of natural causes. He was born on March 1, 1927, in Crafton, TX to the late Harrill and Sarah Higgs Hightower. He attended Paschal High School in Fort Worth, TX. Harrill served in the United States Navy, during World War II, and was honorably discharged as a Fireman, Second Class in 1946. He was also a member of the Masons since 1949. He retired from The Stearns & Foster Bedding Company as a Vice President of Manufacturing in 1986. Harrill was much loved by friends and family. He was an avid golfer, loved a good joke and was the barbecue rib expert of the family. He will be missed greatly by all. Harrill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Murel Jane; his son, Rick and his two daughters, Cheryl and Susie; four grandsons, Aaron, Ryan, Ross and Mitchell and one granddaughter, Shelly; four great-granddaughters, Tatum, Kaleigh, Sidney and Annabelle; and his brother, David. He is further survived by nephews and nieces and other relatives. Funeral Services for Harrill Haddix Hightower, Jr. will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 20, 2010, at Restland of Dallas, Abbey Chapel. Alan Lynch, Minister of Pastoral Care and Missions, First Baptist Dallas, will officiate.
