Harrison Broyles JrBorn in Dallas to Eunice (Ryan) and Harrison Sr. on August 20, 1937. “For He gives His beloved sleep”. He went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2019. Proceeded in death by his parents and eldest son, David Harrison.Graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1955 where he was a member of the ROTC and attended North Texas State College. He met Marilyn Umphress at North Texas State College and they were married in March 1959. He joined the United States Army in 1959 and was stationed primarily in Augsburg, Germany.From the beginning of his career he showed his loyalty and commitment. He was a people magnet and everyone who met him liked him. He loved life and his high energy was attractive to so many.The consummate salesperson due to his people and problem solving skills, he had an extremely successful career in sales. He retired in 2002 so that he and Marilyn could travel and he could play golf.The joy his family brought him was immeasurable. He is survived by wife of 60 years, Marilyn and two sisters, Bette Ryle and Melissa Brumfield both of Mesquite.“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them.”Also survived by son Gary and daughter in law Ann of Conway, AR, daughter Rebecca Anderson of Forney, daughter Michelle Broyles of McKinney; eight grandchildren, Amber Garner, Christopher Broyles, Nicole Miller, Cory Broyles, Kathryn Anderson, Kristina Anderson, Sarah Broyles and Alec Broyles; ten great-grandchildren, Josh, Erin, Elly, Chase, Khloe, Madison, Matthew, Harrison, Liam and Charlotte and extended family.The family would like to thank their countless friends and their church family at Creekwood United Methodist Church, the doctors and nurses at McKinney Medical Center, Post Acute Medical, McKinney Healthcare Center and the hospice nurses from THPC for the wonderful care they provided.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Stroke Association, American Heart Association or Fisher House Foundation.You did good daddy.
