Harvey Joseph Kopita's Obituary
Harvey passed away peacefully at Baylor University Medical Center on Thursday April 14 at the age of 79. He was born in Ogdensburg, NY. He grew up in Watertown, NY. He attended Syracuse University and graduated in 1959 with a degree in Business Administration. His career was spent in Retailing. He was the son of the late Julius Kopita and Sally Victor. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Marcia Berman Kopita, his son Dr. Jeffrey Kopita.wife Alisone, grandchildren Lilly and Phillip of Dallas, and son Jonathan Kopita and partner Olaf Coerper of New York, his brother Ron Kopita and his wife Pearl and sister Liz Berlinger and her husband Joe. Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Restland Memorial Park, conducted by Rabbi Zeloney. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. Donations in his memory can be made to Congregation Beth Torah or the Baylor Health Care Foundation. The family wants to thank the physicians and staff at Baylor Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care during his time there.
