Ms Hayley Winston Harrison's Obituary
HARRISON, HAYLEY WINSTON. Hayley was born in Dallas on August 23, 1991. She died in the arms of her loving father, Jim Harrison, after a battle with addiction and was received into the loving arms of our Lord on July 11, 2024. She is predeceased by her dear sweet brother, her best friend, James Paul Harrison.
Though filled with grief, we joyfully celebrate the creative, talented, and loving person that defined Hayley. Her interest in fashion first emerged at Highland Park High School where she founded and served as Vice-President of the Fashion Club. At SMU she learned to promote and spread her fashion ideas via various media. She was an on-air personality on the SMU News television program “The Daily Update” and was co-creator and contributor to SMU’s fashion website. She graduated from SMU in 2015 with a B.A. in Journalism and double-minors in Fashion Media and English.
While working retail in both sales and management, Hayley began to put her artistic and gifted writing skills to use in a career as an influencer in the areas of make-up artistry, hair styling, and fashion. She had 50,000+ followers on her personal Instagram and 10,000+ subscribers on her YouTube. She is a published author in D Magazine and was working on her first novel. In addition, she created and gave wonderful drawings, paintings, and illustrated stories as gifts to family and friends and happily helped others with their makeup for weddings or other special occasions. She had a flare for fashion like none other! It is fitting that she will be buried in a black, vintage Valentino dress.
Hayley has numerous family members who have fond and fun memories: her grandmother Anne Harrison; long-time dear family friend Nancy Dennis; her aunts Cynthia Harrison, Patricia Harrison, Elizabeth (Gary) Eckeberger, and Laurie Sands Harrison; her uncle Frank Harrison; her cousins Caroline (Gavin) Loehr, Francis (Manuel) Brito Harrison, Hassie (Ryan Bingham) Harrison, Bailey Harrison, Amy (Travis) Moore, Emily Eckeberger, and Truett Eckeberger. Family friends: Jaclyn (Daniel) Becker and Katie (Cameron) Ford. She is also survived by her mother Tam Curry. She is predeceased by her grandfather Frank Harrison and grandmother Valere Althouse.
There will be a graveside service for family members. In lieu of flowers, please hug your children.
