Hazel Mary "Penny" Eisan's Obituary
Hazel Mary "Penny" Eisan passed away on January 13th, 2024. She was 91 years old. Best known as Penny, she loved her family and loved life. Birthdays and holidays were always celebrated in my family and she made them special. She married Don Eisan in New York in 1951 and they were married for 68 years. She passed away the day before their anniversary. We know there was a big celebration of their reunion in heaven that day.
Penny was an excellent piano player and taught piano lessons for many, many years. She loved to sew, and she and Wendy made women’s clothes which they sold in craft shows for over 20 years. Penny taught her family about faith in God, love for family, and to make the best of any situation. She faithfully served her church and was in the choir and handbell choir.
Penny did not let things stop her from living life. She traveled the world with her husband Don and took many adventures with her best friend Jackie. She played at bell conventions, schools, and nursing homes with her much loved bell choir, the Belle Tones.
Penny was dearly loved by so many, got along with everyone, and was gracious and warm hearted towards all. She lived a blessed and faithful life. She will be missed by all, but never forgotten. Her legacy lives on in all of us.
Penny is survived by children Lynda and Mike Brown, Wendy and Scott Smith, Kevin and Gen Eisan. Grandchildren Ryan and Misty Brown, Cheryl and Craig Smith, Austin and Kayla Eisan, and Daniel Eisan. Her great-grandchildren Layla, Molly, Emily Brown and Grayson, Riley, and Harper Smith.
In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
