Hazel Joyce Freeman, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. She will be sincerely missed by her devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her. Read Obituary
I just met Doc a couple of years ago through Fred (McShann) and was lucky enough to attend and enjoy her last two birthday celebrations. I was also relieved to find out that she knew my parents and actually liked them, whew! We all know she was very opinionated. 😉. My only regret is that I didn’t meet her sooner. She called me a couple of times after her last party and I enjoyed each conversation.

She didn't want me to call her Dr. Freeman, I was to call her HJ. The most difficult person I have ever dealt with in my life. If she heard me say this, she would say, yes I am, LOL. I told her she is also cantankerous. She said what's that? I said, you have a PHD and you don't know the meaning of the word, she laughed with those teeth floating around in her mouth. She would say to me, she had never laughed so much until she meet me. We both would laugh until we cried. She will be missed!
Always enjoyed Dr. Freeman's parties. Rest easy doc.
Dr. Freeman alway spoke her mind and kept me laughing. Rest now!
