Hazel Bernice Giles' Obituary
Hazel Giles, age 97, was born in Garland to John W. Boyd and Minnie Lee Carlton, she was the 4th out of 5 children and all proceed her in death. Her father was a dry land cotton farmer and all the children helped in the family business. Hazel was the first in her family to earn a high school diploma, graduating from Garland High school in 1940. She worked at Adams Hat company until she married Billy James Giles in November of 1947. They were married 65 years until Billy preceded her in death in 2013.Survivors include her daughter Becky Worthington and husband Bobby of Richardson, son Mike and his wife Judy Giles of Lindale,Tx. Hazel had 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Hazel’s life was her family and the joy of raising plants.Services for Hazel Giles are set for 3:00PM, with viewing to begin at 2:00PM, on Monday, June 4, 2018 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, with Dr. Bobby Worthington and Rev.
