Hazel McCray's Obituary
Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Hazel McCray age 82 of Farmers Branch TX, formerly of Plainview TX, will be held at 02:00 PM Saturday December 10, 2022 at the Mills Valley Fellowship Church in Farmers Branch. Mrs. McCray passed into the loving arms of Jesus on November 18, 2022 at her residence.
Hazel (Craft) McCray was born the daughter of Alex Craft and Hazel (Watson) Craft on January 5,1940 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. She married Leon McCray and worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide and was part of the staff at Plainview High School. Mrs. McCray was a long-time member of the United Baptist Church in Plainview.
Mrs. McCray leaves her family and friends with cherished memories of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Mrs. McCray is preceded in death by her parents Alex and Hazel Craft, husband Leon McCray in 2019,and daughter Diane Watson in 2017, grandson Timothy Jenkins. also preceding are her brothers James, John, Ezell, and Ozell Craft, sisters, Gracie Walker, Luberta Ware.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter Joyce Sams and husband Raymond, son, Toney McCray, daughter Emeldia McCray, son Vincent McCray and wife Vicki, son Leon McCray Jr. and wife Deborah, daughter Yvette McCray and David. also surviving are, 31 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great and great great grandchildren, Sister - Jennie Monroe.
Our family gives special thanks to the staff of Highland Guest Care of Dallas for the wonderful care of our mother.
