Hazel Joyce Sims' Obituary
Hazel Joyce Sims, age 86, of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away November 13, 2017, at Pleasant Manor Nursing Center in Ashdown, Arkansas. She was born August 2, 1931 to the late George and Jewell Anders of Waco, Texas.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Joyce Campbell.Left to cherish her memory is her husband of sixty-four years, Thomas, her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Glenda Sims, grandchildren Jeremy, Brandon, and Justin Sims, Amanda Barton, Matthew, and Danielle Campbell, great-grandchildren Dakota, Logan, Blake, and Sophia Barton, Penelope, Landry, J.D., and Jakob Sims.Hazel enjoyed reading and being with her grandchildren. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and always loved family gatherings, especially if there was homemade vanilla ice cream.Services will be Friday, November 17, at 3:00 p.m. at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas,Texas. Visitation for friends and family will be Thursday, November 16, at 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home.
