Hector Armando Gutierrez's Obituary
Hector Armando Gutierrez, 79, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025.
Born in Piedras Negras Coahuila Mexico on May 23, 1946, Hector moved to Texas at a young age and graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1964. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Houston—laying the foundation for a life filled with curiosity, creativity, and thoughtful expression.
Hector spent 30 years with IBM, where he was honored for his steady professionalism, intelligence, and kindness. Beyond his career, Hector was a man of many quiet passions. He had a deep love for writing poetry and could often be found editing family photos, turning them into beautiful slideshows that captured precious memories. A lifelong learner, he also enjoyed exploring new languages.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary; his children, Daniel and Amanda Dickstein; and his cherished grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, and Olivia. He also leaves behind his sisters, Nelly Berain, Irma Wauters, Lupe Fernandez, Imelda Valdez, and Sylvia Cardenas, all of whom he held close to his heart. Hector was preceded in death by his parents, Armando and Ofelia and his brother, Elier.
Though he chose not to have a formal funeral service, his family honors his wishes and celebrates the life of a gentle, thoughtful, and deeply loving man whose legacy will live on in the lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
